Reunited with friends, HOT fashions and enjoying a beautiful night in NYC!!

Me and my beautiful man..(he had to work :(, so I went alone)

Me & Dhylles..my beautiful friend
I waited all week for this event and was very giddy on Saturday. I wasn't sure what to wear so I went with a lovely jade off the shoulder blouse with roses cascading down the front. It is an amazing color on me and my tan skin tends to pop. It was paired of with some black tights and plack heels. I had just gotten off of work and changed at my job and rushed on that train.

She was fierce...

The fashion show was a huge hit. I have missed this part of the industry. I was met by my beautiful friend Dhylles. We hugged and just started talking where we left off. Darling, we girls can talk. I don't want to put too much here because I am doing a write up for Venus Magazine on this event but I will whisper you this. Don't you dare let this summer go by without owning a India Marcel outfit. I already put my order in right at the show~
The models were beautiful and confident and made every guest want to go and purchase that outfit right quick. Music was pumping and got me going. I had my crew with me photographer George Romero & my promoter Anthony aka, Big Moe.

India got a standing ovation.& Dhylles.

I cannot wait for her next show and I may walk the runway. I miss it and she sure can design and fit my curves to perfection. Now looking forward to the event that Dhylles is hosting next Saturday at Pearl Studios...more details on that soon. I want to remind all of those curvy divas to participate in the plus size fashion industry more often. If you are not ripping the runway then rep for yourself and attend these fashion shows and support our local designers..because they are catering to you..the plus size woman!

Excited about the NGLC Latino Conference...counting the days!

I already know what dress I will be wearing for this event and its going to be an IGIGI design. Thanks to my amazing agent Tina Sanchez and Yuli from IGIGI. I have been thinking of all the knowledge that is going to be shared at this event and I cannot wait.

Tomorrow is the last day for the Latinabloggersconnect contest with NGLC and I am hoping that I win. I have been spreading the news everywhere and loving it.

On another note...Curvacioulsy Yours..has been invited to attend the India Harper fashion show event for this Saturday at Pearl Studio. I am eager to attend and see my amazing friends Dhylles & India.

We will bring full media cover for this and I will be loving every minute of our job. I will also bring to you all the behind-the-scene coverage and images.

Sad that so many people in Japan died. I will pray for them. Today I brought two people together again, and I am making history with this one. I got two of my favorite people in the industry working together! Love it.

Counting the days until April 11th...

I have decided to support this amazing NGLC Latino Conference..win the contest or not! Events like this don't happen all the time or over night. My support is needed here and I am using my voice to show this support.

This is a huge chance for anyone Latino or not to be in the same room with the most successful and well known Latino networking professionals. This event is not giving you 3-4 panelist or speakers you are getting over 20+ and counting.

                           David Chitel, Founder & Chairman

Today I had the pleasure of speaking with the leader of this Latino movement, David Chitel. He is a true mentor and an inspiration to all Latinos. I will be writing an exclusive interview on him for Daily Venus Diva Magazine & Parle Magazine.

We also spoke about a special project and more on that after our next meeting.

I got off the phone with my lovely agent Tina and we are talking about my outfit for this event. My family is proud and excited for me. I have wanted for the longest time to get more involved with my Latino community and here is the outlet I was looking for.

On another note spoke to my beautiful and talented friend Juliette Fairley. It seems she has gone from hit broadway shows to 'Hollywood', and I don't mean movie. I mean movies..she is filming two movies this early May. Well enough of this..I can't blog about everything. I am leaving the hot details for her exclusive with me.

Take care my beautiful people and each and everyday is a source for us to use. How we use it depends on us as individuals. Let's use it to better ourselves.

Latinos come together at the NGLC.....

I have been a proud Latina from the tender age of about 7. That was the age when I realized that 'Papi' had to work two jobs in a die tex factory to pay for my Catholic School education. Mami worked too in a factory 7 days a week. I was never told 'No' you cannot get that it was always 'Yes' and I was spoiled with love above all things. I thought we were rich, vacations here and shopping sprees there. Now I understand how hard and long they had to work to make that money back then.

Now, 32 years later I am still a proud Latina and now more than ever. The NGLC (New Generation Latino Consortium) to me is the largest connection and communicating event to come our way. We have the most successful Latinos in world, sharing their stories and most important the 'How To' become the best at any market.

The NGLC is on for April 11th, at the Harvard Club, NYC.
Who will be there?? Please take a seat the list is long but I will tease you with just a few Telemundo, Google, MTV, Sprint, Latina Magazine, Ford Motor Company, L'Oreal, & PepsiCo, just to name a few!! Can you imagine the 'Power' in that building...?? Why imagine it? YOU can be there too..here is the link http://nglc.biz/

This event will be moderated by two amazing Latino actors Tony Plana and my all time favorite Rosie Perez.

Rosie can act like not many can..she is a humble yet brilliant actress. I can say this because she was very influential to my oldest son Anthony Jude. Anthony went on a class trip to one of her Broadway productions. He went backstage and met her. She welcomed him with a strong hug and her beautiful smile. He kept the picture but hides it from me because I always want to show it to everyone that comes to our house. He is very proud of her and left a mentoring image on my son.

I entered a contest on http://www.latinabloggersconnect.com/ to win a pass for this event..but if I don't win I will be there...for the VIP after party. I am so looking forward to it.

Yes.. you can add 'Movie Critic' to my long resume...

Not sure how I am up so early..I went to bed at 3:00 am, talking with my agent & publicist that lives in L.A. makes me forget the time difference. It could be the excitement of seeing a special screening of the new Disney movie, ' Mars needs Moms '.

A client of mine I write for out of Miami called me on Thursday night asking me if I wanted to do this movie review. I got VIP tickets to this special screening in NYC!! Of course I am going, this is a red carpet event and if this wasn't the cream on my sunday I also got the invite to the gala party after the movie at the famous NYC restaurant Mars 2112.

I guess the most important part of all this to me is that I get to do the mommy & me thing with my daughter. I am bringing my 6 year old Raquel and we went shopping for our outfits and even went to the Salon to get all dolled up.

I love my job and the perks it provides. I am off to event at noon and I will be blogging on it live..

Shooting with amazing photographers Ashley Ervin & Michelle Alexandra

This New Year is starting up pretty amazing for me. I have a big line up of seven shoots within the next 6 months. I start the line up with the talented Ashley Ervin of http://www.photocentricphotography.com/ this is her work
And the hot to trot Latina photographer Michelle Alexandra from Moxie Management at http://www.michellealexandraphoto.com/
I am working on the very first 'Olga' calendar, a new clothes line campaign and three other projects and I am not aloud to discuss. LoL. Loving that many clients want to use me as their 'larger' plus model and are catering to those clients that wear 18+. I don't like change and love using the same photographers over and over again but change is always a good thing so very thrilled to start preparing for my shoots.

Most excited about my trip to L.A. with my Moxie group. Leaving you all with some in site on things. Life is what you make of it or create in it. Your dreams aren't going to magically land on your lap the way a cat would. Start making the things you want top priority and work your butt off until they become part of your everyday life and not just a sweet five minute day-dream while the D train takes you from 33 St. to Columbus Circle!!
